Before traveling the trails inserted in protected areas, please request a prior authorization here.

For safety reasons, inform yourself about the trails conditions before your walking, at the Nordeste Tourism Office, by the address postoturismo@cmnordeste.pt or tlp. 296 488 320.

Alerts

• Some trails should not be used between October and May;
• It is not advisable to engage into any walking trail on days of bad weather or in times that are favorable to the occurrence of storms, heavy rains, winds and landslides;
• Before starting a trail, check the weather forecasts and the regional Civil Protection;
• Stay on the marked and delimited routes;
• Do not leave the tracks and do not step on the plants;
• Do not pick plants and do not disturb ecosystems;
• Take the garbage with you, keeping the trails clean;
• Before walking, let someone know about the route you are going to take and avoid walking just by yourself;
• Watch out for dogs near cattle pastures;
• While walking on trails that cross by road, do pay attention to car traffic;
• Take water and supplies with you.
