“Human Rights” Illustrations by 16 renowned Portuguese illustrators

The Nordeste City Council hosted an educational project to promote the human rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, in the form of 16 posters illustrated by 16 of the most renowned Portuguese illustrators, which have been on display at Casa João de Melo since 14 August.
The initiative is organised by the Association for the Cultural Promotion of Children and is supported by the Commission for the Commemoration of the 50th anniversary of 25 April.

World Clean-Up Day at Boca da Ribeira

To celebrate World Clean-Up Day (a global initiative that aims to combat pollution and protect the environment), the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds and Câmara do Nordeste are joining forces to promote the clean-up of the Foz da Ribeira Beach Area after the bathing season.
The initiative is open to volunteers. Join this cause and make the planet cleaner!

Figurative Ceramic Painting Workshop

NANO - Núcleo Artístico do Nordeste will hold a workshop on figurative ceramic painting.
The activity aims to introduce participants to the painting of traditional Portuguese ceramic figures, such as roosters, swallows and sardines. At the end of the session, each participant will keep the piece they painted.

Workshop de Produção Musical - NANO

The Núcleo Artístico do Nordeste will hold a workshop focused on the music production process. The aim is for participants to learn how to record an instrument in the studio and use the audio captured to create a rough draft of a song.
The workshop will cover the entire process, from recording a single instrument to the final musical product.

Target audience: ages 15 and up
Participants: Minimum of 2, maximum of 4

Brigada SOS cagarro Nordeste

SPEA will hold daily shearwater “Cagarro” rescue brigades in Vila do Nordeste between 20 October and 10 November. Interested parties (groups and individuals) can join the SPEA team and rescue disoriented juvenile shearwaters “Cagarros” (limited daily places).
