This park is located in a privileged place in the parish due to the view it offers over the island’s north coast.
An ideal site to rest and for having a lunch, it is provided by barbecue equipment, with sheltering areas, allowing a passage to a viewpoint from which you get a magnificent view over the north coast of São Miguel. In Lomba da Fazenda you will find the Pelado Endemic Park, accessible from the parish's center of the town. The coastal low altitude of this area provides greater proximity to the sea, which is why the soil is more arid and the vegetation is more scarce and smaller. Here you can see endemic plants that date back to the island's original vegetation, a feature that is not common elsewhere in São Miguel. Among these species are faia-da-terra (Myrica faya), bracel-da-rocha (Festuca jubata) and urze (Erica azorica).
